Airtext started out to be a really cool product for passengers to be able to send and receive text messages anywhere in the world, at any altitude, for 5 cents a message.  We did that! Our customers then lead us to enhance the product into a savvy data link that enables pilots to better manage their flight department.

 

The ability to request and receive international METARS and TAFS, the ability to send and receive messages airplane to airplane, the ability to communicate from a dispatch PC to a pilot/passenger, the ability to illuminate a cockpit annunciator for pilot notification, the ability to track and coordinate multiple aircraft and crews simultaneously, all these capabilities are live today.

 

At the NBAA convention in October, we will be announcing the roll-out of our continued data link developments.  These are pilot-centric functions of a low cost data solution.  Airtext’s pay-as you go formula has found favor with flight departments.  Many have been turned off by the expensive subscription/hourly based solutions other text and talk companies have offered.  Airtext is a tremendous value with an impressive speed of delivery experience.
